There are two big Sunday street markets
Feria de Plaza Francia by the Recoleta Cemetery and San Telmo; artisans with original goods of all types, antiques and old stuff from someone's attic all jostle for space on tables lining the streets with street performers drawing crowds to make the walking even more like threading a maze. While San Telmo seems to focus on the old leavened with artisans, Plaza Francia is given over to them. Little booths wind along the paths in the park and there is almost too much to take in, definitely even the pickiest shopper will find something if they keep looking. And if your taste goes to something hip and factory produced there is a Design Buenos Aires (their Conran's meets MOMA design store meets Exit 9) and an underground mall of small interesting shops. And it was all of good relative quality, even the things that were meant to be cheap souvenir pieces and completely unlike the NY street fair there was not a tube sock to be had!

Here's MomThis was a day of walking and looking and of the best part shopping. The gifts were bought for quit a few and for ourselves, of course, which is the reason to go shopping. The day was beautiful, with only a few clouds until late in the day. What I am finding hard to get used to, is how light is after 5:00, which is marvelous since it gives more time to wander around. Dinner tonight was the steak from last night and a salad we picked up. The steak was just as great as a left over as it was originally. Tomorrow is supposed to be as nice as today, so more walking and looking and of course shopping.
